The goals and objectives of Ice Hockey Victoria are as follows:
- To promote, manage and administer the sport of Ice Hockey in Victoria
- To encourage the establishment, development and affiliation of CLubs formed for the purpose of fielding teams competing in the sport of Ice Hockey
- To affiliate with the Australian Ice Hockey Federation or its lawful successor and to affiliate with any other regular consituted bodies considered to have objectives consistent with those of IHV
- To promote, manage and administer representative State and National level Ice Hockey matches under rules adopted by the A.I.H.F.
- To promote, manage and administer Ice Hockey competition between Clubs affiliated with IHV
- To acquire, maintain and improve any property, premises, accomodation or equipment as may be considered necessary to further the objectives of IHV
- To do any and all things necessary to sustain the well being of IHV and to promote and advance the sport of Ice Hockey in Victoria, in Australia and Internationally
